Radiation Safety
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) at Texas Christian University (TCU) plays a
vital role in managing the use of radioactive materials, X-ray machines, and other
radiation sources. Recognizing the potential
hazards associated with ionizing radiation, EHS is committed to ensuring safe practices
to
minimize occupational exposure. Our mission revolves around the principle of keeping
radiation
doses As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA), while ensuring compliance with state
and
federal regulations.
Questions or concerns should be directed to the TCU Radiation Safety Officer: 817-257-5395.
